We started in Nairobi where we stayed with a friend. Then took a budget safari to Amboseli for a few days with a tour company. Back to Nairobi, then on to Lake Nakuru crossing the Great Rift Valley. We spent several days thereafter at Maasai Mara including a village visit. We spent more time in Nairobi before taking a long safari with a private vehicle north to Samburu. Our goal was wildlife photos and we got more than we ever imagined. The Big Five included.

After working and saving up money, I quitted my job, bought a one-way-ticket and started my dream trip in Latin America. This's an open-end, flexible vagabonding journey. Actually this is more of an experience of mobile-living than a trip. Join my mailing group through my website for updates. If you're around, drop me a line...

We travel the world hitchhiking, couchsurfing, and busking. This isn't so much a vacation as a new way of life for us. We want to connect communities all over the planet with each other... somehow, and use as few resources as we can while giving back as much as possible. We hope to save the world by inspiring others to do the same.

Charity Travel (CT) is an independent large adventurous journey around the world, combining exciting traveling with supporting small-scale charity projects, thereby inspiring other (young) travelers to follow to example. Charity Travel wants to show that nowadays is it possible to bypass large bureaucracies and individually work with small charities that really need help. The emphasis lies on inspiring as many travelers as possible by showing them charity can be exciting, cool, and effective at the same time.

I am literally traveling around the world for roughly the next year or so. I will be going to every continent on this trip mixing budget and modest accomodations with an occasional splurge. I hope to stay as current as possible with my website though it is hard in some destinations (due to technology). Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments or leave them in the guestbook on the website. Cheers! Jen
