That's why sensible areas are taYou don don not need a lot of money or planning to go and see the world for your own. It is basically free. But remember...travelling (not going on holidays) implies challenging your own identity on a daily basis.... The road will give you a new shape...

Touring the world without spending a single cent on transport. Is it possible ? This is the challenge of Ludovic, a 28 year-old Frenchman who started his trip on Janaury 1st 2003 from his home country : France. He travels only by hitchhiking but not only with cars, but also with trucks, donkeys, camels, saliboats, ice-breakers, cargos...everything that moves. His adventure also supports several humanitarian missions and a mentoring project with sick children from an hospital in France.

I'm a former lawyer who saved up to travel and then quit my job in April 2008 - and have been eating my way around the world ever since. Starting in South America, I've traipsed through Siberia, Mongolia and China before arriving in Southeast Asia, where I've been mired in plates of delicious food. With a focus on culture, history and great street eats, Legal Nomads documents the full gamut of my misadventures.

Six years ago at the age of 21 I began travelling the world, always with the company of my backpack and my camera. The problem when using public transport is that one is invariably limited to visiting only the accessible places and sometimes fails to discover smaller villages and other, less known places than can be of great interest. With a bicycle it’s not only that you travel slower but, with everywhere becoming accessible, it is easy to escape the tourist trails and meet local people. It’s a fantastic and incredibly economic way to explore and be in direct contact with nature- with little money you can travel long distances and discover hidden culture. After spending a great deal of time in Africa and many of the conflicts in the continent, I decided it would be a good idea to go back to Asia and use my camera to document the conflicts and forgotten people, as well as the ordinary daily life I find along the way.
